Energetic Portraiture

During Energetic Portraiture, Nadia guides you in a visioning session while she simultaneously paints. The result?

A powerful coaching session and abstract expressionist paintings that capture your essence, inner landscape, and dreams to take home.

My coaching-and-painting session with Nadia was super cool and refreshingly effective. I felt peaceful and creative in her presence, and she offered original insights and practical role-play frameworks. And, bonus, the sheer novelty of it led me to share about the session with friends, which helped me to further anchor the takeaways.

Energetic Portraiture at Events

Invite Nadia to your events to offer personalized 1–1.5 hour Energetic Portraiture sessions or "office hours".
Each participant receives an individual session combining conversation with a live painting experience, resulting in a personal piece of art to take home.
Past participants have shared that the sessions helped them to clarify their visions (and how to achieve them!), inspired vulnerable conversations with friends and colleagues, and opened them up to their own creativity in a new way. The paintings are a powerful visual reminder, bringing them back to the feelings, insights, and inspiration for years to come.
Works great for conferences, retreats, team offsites, and parties.
The intuitive painting session with Nadia was a timeline shifting portal 🌀✨ Nadia’s paintings, along with her compassionate inquiry and presence, beautifully crystallized a moment in time. These paintings reflect my highest self back to me. Thank you!

Energetic Portraiture Visioning Session

Looking for new inspiration or direction in your life or work? In an Energetic Portraiture Visioning Session, Nadia combines her one-on-one coaching practice with live painting in a half-day or full-day intensive designed around you.
You'll start with a call to decide the focus of the day, which could be anything from reimagining your career to navigating a life transition to creating habits that stick. Then, Nadia will lead you in a guided inquiry while simultaneously painting what she senses, creating an abstract work that captures your essence and insights as they unfold. You'll leave with clarity, direction, and a meaningful piece of original art.
Sessions can take place virtually, at your home, office, or Nadia's studio in the redwoods in Mill Valley.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

How does it work?

1. Intention Setting Nadia guides you through an intention-setting exercise (and optional guided meditation) to hone in on what’s most alive and highest leverage to focus on.
2. Choosing Your Color Palette You'll select colors that you're intuitively drawn to, setting the visual direction for the paintings.

3. Dialogue & Live Painting Nadia listens and guides you through an inquiry while simultaneously translating the conversation and emotional journey into dynamic abstract artworks.

4. Reflection Together, you'll reflect on the paintings, exploring how their colors, textures, and forms capture and illuminate your inner experience and insights.

5. Integration You’ll take the paintings home with you to enjoy. Many clients find the visual artifact helpful for integrating and realizing their insights and visions long after the session ends.

  • Nadia is an executive coach, life designer, strategist, and artist. She's been doing executive coaching for the last decade and has developed an innovative coaching and leadership development methodology, The Cartography of Self. This three-day process is designed for visionary entrepreneurs to reflect on their lives - past, present, and future– and she has guided more than 100 leaders through it one-on-one.

Beyond that, Nadia does ongoing coaching and consulting work with leaders and their teams. Her clients have included executives at Stanford University, The White House, Gladstone Institute, Asana, The Center for Humane Technology, Neurohacker Collective, Andela, and numerous YC-backed entrepreneurs.

For Nadia, coaching and painting are intimately intertwined and synergistic– she has synesthesia, and often sees and feels people and music in colors and forms. Historically, she’d paint before sessions with clients to move stagnant energy and deepen her presence, and then again after sessions.  By analyzing the works’ form, colors, and essence, she’d better understand her clients and their feelings, which, in turn, enhanced her coaching practice. It was these experiences (and informally coaching people at parties while painting) that inspired this offering.

  • Anything! Nadia’s coaching methodology is holistic, ranging from life coaching to executive coaching to spirituality, embodiment, and creativity. She believes that all areas of life are interrelated and matter, and that if anything is off, then it’s all off, in a compounding way. Inversely, alignment and momentum in one area of life can lead to virtuous cycles. Examples of possible coaching topics include: reimagining your vision for your work and life, refining your daily habits, designing systems to scale your impact, reframing limiting beliefs, and navigating complex dynamics within relationships and teams.
